Out of an abundance of caution,
Trinity Lutheran Church is CLOSED
to the public for meetings, gatherings, worship
and J.A.M. until further notice.
Events determined to be essential and safe to proceed following
pandemic procedures/guidelines may take place as scheduled.
Please monitor Trinity’s Facebook page and website for calendar updates and announcements.
This Week at Trinity
Trinity’s Church Office & Building are CLOSED to the public
for meetings, gatherings, worship and J.A.M. until further notice.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and with the safety protocols set by Governor Walz, the
Community Christmas Food Basket Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the project for 2020.
There is no sure way to keep everyone safe, healthy, and protected while working on this project.
If you planned to donate to the food baskets this year, you are strongly encouraged to donate instead
to the Care and Share/New Hope Food Shelf in Crookston, the North Country Food Bank or a food shelf in your community.
To those who looked forward to receiving a food box, please reach out to one of these resources listed above.
The Community Food Basket Committee hopes and prays to be able to take on this project again in 2021.
If you have any questions, please reach out to a Community Christmas Food Basket Committee member.

“From Widows to Warriors:
Women’s Stories from the Old Testament”
Written by Lynn Japinga
Thursdays: 1:00 PM @ First Presbyterian
Now through December 17th
Meet the women of the Old Testament:
from flawed heroes like Ruth and Rahab to fierce fighters like Deborah and Jael.
Encounter the wealth of our foremothers in faith with all their messy, yet redeemable, humanity.
This book study introduces and retells the story of every female character who contributes
to one or more Old Testament stories, diving deeply into what each women’s story means for us today.
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Books are $12.00 each.
Contact FPC at 281-4853 to purchase a book.
For more information or if you have questions, contact the First Presbyterian Church
office at 281-4853 or email: email@example.com
Trinity’s New DROP BOX

Trinity’s drop-box is a SAFE SECURE way to leave correspondence,
offerings or written announcements after-hours or
with “no-contact” at the church. The drop-box is checked daily.
Trinity is having a difficult time getting sanitizing wipes to keep our facility clean and safe!
We are unable to get what we need from our regular business
and commercial suppliers and grocery, hardware & “big-box” stores are in short supply, too.
If you are able to donate sanitizing wipes to help Trinity with our cleaning and sanitizing,
we are very grateful! Thank you!
The New Hope Food Shelf
(located at Care & Share)
is open every Monday & Wednesday afternoon from 1:00-5:00 pm.

After School Ministries
We are sad to announce that Halftime and Jubal's Joy
WILL NOT BE OFFERED
this Fall. It would be too challenging to follow precautionary guidelines to ensure health and safety
for all involved. Thank you for understanding this decision. We pray this is only temporary! 😊
September Campaign for Crookston’s
Care & Share Emergency Assistance Fund
Trinity Lutheran is a ministry partner with Crookston’s Care & Share homeless shelter and New Hope Food Shelf.
We give regularly to the Emergency Assistance Fund that provides dollars to families
and individuals who have emergency expenses in difficult times.
In September, Trinity is challenging all of us to raise additional dollars for the Care & Share Emergency Fund. You may give a contribution through Trinity by designating your gift for “Care & Share.” You may also give directly to the Care & Share by sending your donation to 220 East 3rd Street, Crookston MN 56716.
The Care and Share New Hope Food Shelf is open every Monday & Wednesday afternoon from 1:00-5:00 pm.
For more information, or to donate, call 218-277-0000.
Worship services WILL BE PROVIDED for you on
Crookston Cable TV channel #3,
broadcast live over KROX Radio 1260 AM or 105.7 FM and
live streamed on Facebook: Trinity Lutheran Church, Crookston MN
Prayer of St. Francis
Make me an instrument of your peace.
where there is hatred, let us sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is discord, union;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
Grant that we may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that
we are born to eternal life.

Spread the Good News!
Carrying the message of the gospel through the streets of Crookston
can feel intimidating but through Trinity’s Radio and TV Ministry, we are
reaching out to those who may not step into our church building to hear the message.
This vital outreach touches lives well beyond Crookston’s city limits. Gifts to the Radio
Fund can be given to honor or remember a loved one. Recognition of the weekly radio
broadcast sponsorship can be scheduled to coincide with a memorable date.
The cost of each weekly broadcast is $126.00. If you would like to sponsor a broadcast,
contact the church office at 281-4276 to schedule a date.
FOR EMERGENCIES: After office hours and on weekends call 218-289-0353
or the church office at 281-4276 and your call will be transferred to a pastor.
Please post this telephone number in your home.
HOSPITALIZED? The only way the church knows that you’re hospitalized is if you,
a loved one, or friend notifies us. Please call the church office (281-4276) and let us know
so that Trinity can support you with prayer and with presence.
