Volunteer Opportunities

Rally Day, Sept. 13th, 2015
We have a need to share our faith during J.A.M. (Jesus and Me)
time on Sundays……
Please call Jo Johnson 281-4276 to say you are willing to take a class to teach or team teach. Leaders and teachers are trained. Kids don’t care how much you know, they just want to know that you “Care”.
 Current openings are:
                        3rd grade –   1 section teacher
                        5th grade –   1 section teacher
                        9th grade –      1 team teacher
We also need two coordinators for J.A.M.  These individuals would help assist teachers when needed on Sunday Mornings–like getting supplies/collecting offering.
If you have a preschooler, 3, 4 or 5 year old, that has not been involved with Sunday morning J.A.M., we would WELCOME your call for his/her registration.

Giving Opportunities

Chancel Light System Needs

The Information Technologies team has been investigating a way to improve the lighting around the chancel area in the sanctuary.  An improved lighting system will flood the entire chancel in light benefiting participants and those sitting in the pews. We would like to have some theatrical effects to enhance the many worship experiences we offer.  Switches and dimmers will be located in two convenient locations for operators.  Our video ministry will greatly improve as light will be better balanced and give better definition to our broadcast outreach.
We would like to move forward with an LED system which will reduce our consumption of electricity and give longer life to the bulbs that are used.  The bid we have received for such a system is at $28,800. This does not include electrical work to get power to the lights.  We currently have $24,000 in designated funds for such an improvement.  Before we can move forward on this project we need to collect enough dollars to pay for this project.  If you would like to donate to this project, please contribute to the IT Fund.
Your generosity will help to expedite this process and help us to improve our worship as soon as possible.

Handrail Donations
The Property Resource Team would like to thank those of you who have donated to the rail project.  We have met our goal and now look forward to having the new additions in our sanctuary and fellowship hall.
