Are you a parent to a child under the age of five? Do you enjoy delicious food and friendship?
 
GREAT NEWS!
 
There’s a new Christian parenting group, open to families at Trinity Lutheran and First Presbyterian Churches, led by Pr. Elise Pokel and Brenda & Madison Crane, starting at the end of January. We’ll dive into Scripture and two fabulous books: Faithful Families and Little Steps, Big Faith; books are provided free of charge!
 
Come and enjoy a monthly meal, wonderful conversation and fun! Children are welcome!

Trinity Lutheran Church, Crookston is seeking a full-time, seasonal Trinity Point Site Director for May 24 – Sept. 2, 2019.  This position, for an individual or couple, will provide management, maintenance and hospitality at Trinity Point’s summer ministry on Maple Lake, Mentor, MN. 
The position requires working on the weekend.

Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12 Noon and 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
 
Compensation for the summer is $5,000 and includes housing and utilities at Trinity Point.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

9th GRADERS: ALPHA begins Wednesday, January 23 at 6:00 p.m.
and continues each Wednesday night through March 13.

This 8-week ministry series is a 9th grade confirmation expectation.
 
Through special guest speakers, small group conversations on faith questions and connecting in new meaningful ways, we will take a giant leap toward making the personal choice of being confirmed.
9th graders must register prior to January 23
(contact Leah in the church office ASAP if you have not registered).
Cost of $40 will cover the pizza meal that is served from 6:00-6:30 p.m. each week.

Annual Meeting
Sunday, January 27, 2019 @ 10:15 a.m.
In accordance with Trinity’s Constitution and
by-laws, the main agenda items for this meeting are approval of the 2019 budget and elections.
 
Join us for “Taste of Trinity” in the Fellowship Hall following the meeting (11:00 a.m.). Sample tasty eats & treats created and served by the National Youth Gathering Team. Free will offering and $1.00/recipe (if you choose). 
Proceeds go toward for the trip to the 2021 ELCA Youth Gathering in Minneapolis!

  • NEW CAREGIVER’S DISCUSSION GROUP
     

    Lutheran Social Service on MN will offer a NEW monthly support group for Caregivers at Trinity Lutheran Church the first Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. beginning September 6th.
     
    This group offers comfort, support and education to caregivers during tough seasons. This group is for those caring for an older adult or anyone an early onset memory related disorder.
     
    CAREGIVER SUPPORT & RESPITE: Are you stressed and in need of extra support while caregiving? LSS of MN offers a variety of services to help those in need. Caregiver’s can receive individual support, attend educational classes, gain respite support, and even gain support with and through their electronic devices.

  • AMERICORPS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
     

    Lutheran Social Services of MN is seeking volunteers for their Caregiver Support programs. Volunteers provide companionship to elderly and veterans in their community. AmeriCorps offers modest compensation for their volunteers.

Carrying the message of the gospel through the streets of Crookston
can feel intimidating but through Trinity’s Radio and TV Ministry,
we are reaching out to those who may not step into our church building
to hear the message. 
This vital outreach touches lives well beyond Crookston’s city limits.  

 
Gifts to the Radio Fund can be given to honor or remember a loved one. 
Recognition of the weekly radio broadcast sponsorship can be scheduled
to coincide with a memorable date. 
The cost of each weekly broadcast is $126.00
