Starting today, we return to the to the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) for our Biblical texts for worship.
We began using the Narrative Lectionary in September to try something different, focus on one Biblical text,
and to follow scripture more consecutively within a book in the Bible.

If you are asking “why” we are using the Revised Common Lectionary, it is to keep things simple and relevant.
Trinity is in collaboration with First Presbyterian which follows the RCL. There is less confusion when we have guest preachers and Pr.  Isaacson is mentoring someone at another church who is also using the RCL.

April is
Child Abuse Prevention Month
We invite and urge everyone in our community to take action for children during
Child Abuse Prevention Month
by simply “Building a Blue-Ribbon Tree.” The blue ribbon is the international sign for child abuse
prevention and serves as a reminder that all of us have a responsibility to help keep children safe.

How and when do I participate?
Trees should be displayed in April with ribbons,
crepe paper or any blue items but be sure you do not damage and live tree.

Select or construct a tree out of any materials you choose.
A) If you select a “live” tree, choose one that has high visibility.
B) If constructing a “unique” artificial tree, be creative; Christmas trees look great with blue ribbons!

Register and submit an electronic copy (photo) of your tree,
if you desire, in the Blue-Ribbon Registry by emailing Sue Thompson at

sue.thompson@co.polk.mn.us

TRINITY HOSPITALITY

Nearly every week at Trinity, we, as the body of Christ, are CALLED to serve each other,
whether it is by providing lunch to family & friends after a funeral, assisting with annual
(Rhubarb Festival and Bazaar/Meatball Dinner), or simply serving coffee at an
occasional conference or meeting held in our church building.

Members of the Trinity Family are asked to give of their time and talents,
just as we do within our own families. As a Trinity member,
you are automatically assigned to one of the eight Service Work Groups.
A group will serve every 8th funeral at Trinity plus one other designated
event during the year. Please be willing “to serve”
when called upon by the Co-Chairs of your group.

We are incredibly grateful for all who serve when they can,
provide food when they are able, or say, “Please call me next time.”
It is our sincere hope that everyone will respond joyfully when
called upon to assist in providing Trinity Hospitality!
